Embedding Writing Across the Curriculum...  

 

Out with the old; in with the new. No longer is writing an issolated task. Instead, students are writing about they know and learn. They are responding to literature, science, math and social studies in simple writing tasks as well as extensive essays. These writing segments will initiate critical thinking and foster student learning in each content area. Each quarter, students participate in a school-wide writing competition. Writing winners are posted on the Red, Write, and Blue board, announced on the morning announcements, and they receive a free ice cream!
